In case an error has been made in determining, reporting, or recording the grade in a Harvey Mudd College course, a change of grade must be submitted to the Registrar by the instructor. A student may select one course or the equivalent of 3 credits each semester for which they elect to receive a grade of CR (Credit) or NC (No Credit) instead of a letter grade. A student who takes a leave of absence from the College after the semesters course drop deadline but before the last day of classes for the semester will receive a grade of W in all courses that have not already been graded, unless an incomplete grade is approved by the instructor and ADAA. When portions of the required Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts (HSA) program remain to be taken, up to half of these may be taken at other Claremont Colleges. If the course is part of the Core Program, the student must obtain the signature of the Associate/Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs for the purpose of verifying consultation. Grade reports are not mailed. One exception, which permits disclosure without consent, is disclosure to school officials with legitimate educational interests. Students may register for courses open to them in the other Claremont Colleges, many of which use a different method of recording credit than Harvey Mudd College.
